FX File Explorer offers a sleek Material Design user interface and innovative file transfer capabilities across devices and computers:

 <li>SMBv2 support</li>
 <li>"FX Connect" allows for easy file transfers between phones using Wi-Fi Direct and NFC connectivity (requires FX+)</li>
 <li>"Web Access" enables seamless file and media management via your computer's web browser, including drag-and-drop folder transfers and music playlist streaming over Wi-Fi (requires FX+)</li>
</ul>

FX is a versatile file explorer that brings the convenience of computer-like file management to your phone or tablet:

<ul>
 <li>Productivity-oriented "Home Screen" provides direct access to important folders, media, and cloud storage</li>
 <li>Multi-window support with dual-view mode for simultaneous viewing of two windows</li>
 <li>"Usage View" mode displays the size and content makeup of each folder as you navigate and manage files</li>
 <li>Support for most major file archive formats</li>
</ul>

FX prioritizes user privacy with the following features:

<ul>
 <li>No advertisements</li>
 <li>No tracking of user activity; FX does not collect any user data</li>
 <li>Developed by NextApp, Inc., a reputable US corporation established in 2002; all proprietary code is developed in-house</li>
</ul>

The optional FX+ Add-On module enhances functionality with the following features:

 <li>Access to networked computers, including FTP, SSH FTP, WebDAV, and Windows Networking (SMB1 and SMB2)</li>
 <li>Integration with popular cloud storage services such as Google Drive, Dropbox, SugarSync, Box, SkyDrive, and OwnCloud</li>
 <li>Application management, including browsing apps based on their required permissions</li>
 <li>Create and explore encrypted zip files using AES-256/AES-128</li>
 <li>Browse and organize audio content by artist, album, and playlist</li>
 <li>Directly browse photo and video folders</li>
 <li>Encrypted password keyring for secure access to network and cloud locations using a single password</li>

FX also provides a range of built-in editing and viewing features:

 <li>Text Editor with undo/redo history, cut/paste, search, and pinch-to-zoom functionality</li>

 <li>Support for creating and extracting zip, tar, gzip, bzip2, 7zip archives</li>
 <li>RAR file extraction</li>

Android 8/9 Location Permission Notice:

<ul>
 <li>Please note that due to Android 8.0+ requirements for Wi-Fi Direct support, FX may require the "approximate location" permission. This permission allows the app to function properly but does not involve actual location tracking. The permission is only requested on Android 8.0+ when using FX Connect. Previously, this requirement was exclusive to Android 9.0, but as FX now fully supports the latest Android API, Android 8.0 also requires this permission.</li>
